That’s a Wrap!

What an amazing StarPower experience we had this summer! Our campers were fantastic! Collectively we set a creative vision, established goals, worked hard, and played even harder! We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments as an artist, playwright, songwriter, and a performer. All 31 of our campers collaborated to create an original musical production! AMAZING!

Our final week at StarPower was spent doing all sorts of amazing, fun awesomeness! We rehearsed hard and put the final touches on our spectacular performance.

One of the most touching things about this group was the bonds they made and the ongoing support they had for one another. I believe setting our intentions, infusing mindfulness, and making meaningful connections while tapping into our campers’ creativity and passion was key to our success.

Carnival Day

Our final carnival day at camp was a blast! We started our last day of camp with our traditional appreciation and closing circle with time for us all to put closure and say “until next summer” to all our amazing friends. We made pet rocks or kindness rocks, we created acrylic paintings on canvas, we face painted and spent the afternoon outside enjoying water balloons, having a shaving cream “fight,” playing in the sprinklers, and to top it off we got to go down some cool water slides!

Loved StarPower? Be a Part of JPAS Year-Round…

This is How!

Mark your calendars!! If you loved Camp StarPower, then you will enjoy many of our fall classes and our Spring Production too. Please don’t fill up our camper’s fall schedule until you consider what we will be offering. Registration will open in the next few weeks (by mid-August latest) and registration will fill up quickly! Space is limited in all our programming, so once registration opens, please don’t wait to sign-up. Many of our camp specialty staff will be returning to lead classes and workshops in the Fall and for our Winter/Spring Main Stage Production and they are thrilled to have the chance to be reunited with our campers.

While we don’t put on a full-scale production in the Fall (our Winter/Spring Main Stage Production begins January – April on Sundays from 1:30 – 5:30 pm so save that date) here is what we have lined up for Fall:

  • Broadway Revue – it will culminate in a showcase for family and friends at the Galleria Mall!
  • A Straight Play – acting only, no singing and dancing, with a performance for family and friends
  • Write, Create, and Perform Your Own Musical Based On A Book – This class will culminate with a performance for family and friends
  • Acting – Improv and Theater Games Class
  • On-camera Acting Class
  • Dance Workshop Series with Ms. Skylar
  • Visual Arts Classes
  • Keep an eye out for JPAS Social

JPAS Social Club will be an opportunity for our JPAS Theater Family to meet up, hang out, and do cool activities once a month or once every other month. I am confident our new exciting programs will satisfy their theater bug, teach them new artistic skills to enhance their talent and encompass life lessons and good old fashion fun! Let’s stay connected and keep this positive energy going!

Thank you for the opportunity to lead your child through the past two weeks. It was an honor and we can’t wait to see them soon! If you have any questions about Fall Classes or our Winter/Spring production, I am here to help.
