FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It can be over 100 degrees in Dallas in the summer do you play outside?2022-03-27T01:19:24-05:00

Yes, we do play many of our sports outside. We try to keep most of our outside games in the morning when temperatures are cooler. We also have frequent mandatory water breaks and inside breaks throughout the day.

What should my child wear and bring to Sports Camp?2022-03-27T01:18:46-05:00

Campers should wear athletic shorts, a t-shirt or tank top and tennis shoes or high tops. Please make sure to apply sunscreen before coming to camp and we will make sure your child re-applies it during the day. A swimsuit, towel, and sandals are recommended even if your child says they will not swim. Also, a change of clothes is a good idea in case they sweat through their first outfit.

What sports will we work on?2022-03-27T01:18:17-05:00

Our three focus sports are basketball, soccer, and flag football. We work on those fundamentals and compete in those sports in the mornings depending on the week. In the afternoon we play a variety of recreational games such as kickball, whiffle ball floor hockey, and dodgeball.

Does my child have to wear a mask while playing sports?2022-03-27T01:17:48-05:00

No, the Sports Camp does not require mask-wearing while we are playing sports.

Does my child have to swim?2022-03-27T01:17:14-05:00

No, swimming is optional. However, the entire camp will be at the pool during free swim. If your child is not a strong swimmer they can stay in the shallow end. All swimmers will be watched closely by lifeguards and counselors. If they choose not to swim they can hang out on the pool deck.
